Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
Parity AI ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website parityai.pro and the Parity AI dashboard application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
a) Account information
To use the dashboard application you create an account. If you sign in with email and password, we store your email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google to create and identify your account. Sign-in and account management are handled by Clerk.
b) Data you upload
When you upload a spreadsheet (CSV or Excel) to build a dashboard, the file is sent over an encrypted connection to our analysis service, which runs on Google Cloud. The service analyses the full dataset so that every figure in your report can be computed and checked exactly. The file is then stored privately with your report in Google Cloud Storage, so you can refine the report from any device and update it later with newer data. It is deleted when you delete the report or your account. During analysis, your data, query results and prompt are sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini API) to write the report.
c) Dashboards and prompts
The dashboards you generate (which embed the aggregated figures shown in the charts and tables) and the prompts you send to refine them are stored in our database and associated with your account, so you can return to them later.
d) Shared report links
You can create a read-only link to a report. Anyone who has the link (and its password, if you set one) can view that report without signing in. A report with filters carries the rows behind those filters in the page, so a person with the link can read them. You can turn a link off at any time, after which it stops working.
e) Usage analytics
We use Amplitude to understand how the Service is used, such as pages visited and features used. On our marketing website this data is anonymous. When you are signed in, it is linked to your account: we send Amplitude your account ID, name and email address so we can understand and support individual users. Amplitude may also record your sessions in the app; content inside the app is masked in those recordings. We never send Amplitude the contents of your uploaded data, your reports or the prompts you write.
f) Billing and credits
If you subscribe or buy credits, Stripe processes the payment. We never see or store your card details. Stripe keeps your billing details (such as your name, email address, billing address and payment method) and your invoices. We keep your plan, its status and billing period, and a record of the credits your account uses (when, and for which feature, such as building a report), so we can show your usage and apply your plan's limits.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and secure the Service
- To authenticate you and keep you signed in
- To generate and update dashboards from your data and prompts
- To store your dashboards so you can revisit and refine them
- To improve the Service based on aggregate usage patterns
- To bill you for your plan and credits, and show your usage
4. Data Storage and Security
Generated dashboards and prompt history are stored in a Google Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL) database in the United States, protected by access checks in our API and by row-level security in the database, so that each user can only access their own data. Account credentials are held by Clerk, not by us. Your uploaded files and images are kept in a private Google Cloud Storage bucket in the United States that only our services can read; nothing is served from it publicly. A file you upload only so that we can read your brand colours from it is processed for that and not kept. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
5. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third-party services, which may process data on our behalf:
- Clerk — sign-in and account management. Privacy Policy
- Google Cloud (Firebase Hosting, Cloud SQL, Cloud Run) — hosts our website, database and services. Privacy Notice
- Google OAuth — optional sign-in. Privacy Policy
- Google Cloud (Cloud Run) and Google Gemini API — runs the analysis service and the AI that analyses your data and writes your report. Under Google's paid API terms, this data is not used to train Google's models. Gemini API Terms
- Amplitude — usage analytics, linked to your account when you are signed in. Privacy Policy
- Stripe — payments, subscriptions and invoices. Privacy Policy
- Cloudflare — DNS and email routing for parityai.pro. Privacy Policy
6. Cookies and Local Storage
We use your browser's local storage to keep your session active (so you don't need to sign in every visit). Clerk and Amplitude may set cookies or similar identifiers to support authentication and usage analytics. You can manage or clear this data through your browser settings, though doing so may sign you out.
7. Data Retention and Your Rights
Workspaces, their members and invitations are managed by our authentication provider, Clerk: if you invite a teammate, Clerk stores the email address you enter and sends that person an invitation; withdrawing the invitation or deleting the workspace removes it. Reports and templates you move into a workspace's shared area can be opened and changed by its members; the rest stay private to you. A workspace's report branding (logo, colours, footer line) is used on the reports its members create. You can delete any dashboard at any time, which removes it, its uploaded files and images, and any shared link from our systems. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the Service after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
10. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or wish to exercise your data rights, please contact us at hello@parityai.pro.
